The Markland Manor House, the amenity centerpiece of the community, has been designed in a classic, Greek Revival style, reflective of the historic grand homes of St. Augustine.
Enjoy the serene beach entry pool complete with lap lane and fountain jets. Or, lounge in one of Markland’s private pool-side cabanas.

The second floor of the Manor House is dedicated to residents’ health and wellness with a comprehensive array of strength and aerobic equipment, free weights and a yoga/spin studio.
Markland provides two hard surface tennis courts at the Manor House. The courts have been adapted for basketball, pickle ball as well!
The 1 acre park features a double gated entry, a dog wash and drink station, areas for seating and a fully enclosed area for dogs to play in the sun or the shade.
Enjoy summer even more with a kayak launch and connecting waterside deck. Located on the lake just beyond the fire pit plaza at the Manor House this slip-resistant, modular, floating dock allows water-sports enthusiasts a safe space to get on and off their watercraft.

Markland Community History
Andrew Anderson first built Markland Cottage in 1839 as the center of one of the largest orange groves in the United States.
Dr. Andrew Anderson returned to Markland after attending Medical School in New York shortly after the Civil War. By 1870, St. Augustine had become the a center for convalescence on the east coast. Long a benefactor to the city of St Augustine. Dr. Andrew Anderson donated both a life size statue of Ponce de León.and marble lions at the base of the Bridge of Lions to the City of St. Augustine.
